Lenta opens two new supermarkets in Moscow

St. Petersburg, Russia; 27 October 2020 – Lenta, (LSE, MOEX: LNTA) one of the largest retail chains in Russia, is pleased to announce the opening of its two new supermarkets in Moscow.

The first store is a Lenta supermarket located at 16A Belomorskaya street. The store has a total area of 1,139 sq.m with 585 sq.m of selling space. The store has 15 parking spaces and 6 cash registers. The supermarket is opened from 8.00 am to 11 pm seven days a week.

The second supermarket is located at 23 Zoya and Alexander Kosmodemianskikh streer. The store has a total area of 1,162 sq.m with 629 sq.m of selling space. The store has 6 cash registers. The store is opened from 8.00 am to 11 pm seven days a week..

Both supermarkets are opened within long term agreement with ADG Group. The properties are leased by Lenta.

Both stores offer a product range of 7,500 and 8,000 SKUs respectively, which has been selected specifically for residents of Moscow and includes Lenta’s private labels and federal product ranges alongside local produce.

Lenta reconstructed premises to meet different clients’ needs and fulfill various customer journeys. The layout design of both stores is made to promote fresh and healthy food. New equipment allows making shopping more convenient and ensuring perfect representation of goods.

Lenta undertook explicit measures to ensure safe environment for its customers and employees during the pandemic of coronavirus. All Lenta stores are equipped with sanitizing stations and protective screens at checkouts and own production areas to minimize health related risks. The personnel is provided with high quality respirators and gloves and goes through body temperature control procedure daily. All the equipment and premises are cleaned with disinfectants several times a day.

The new openings are Lenta’s ninth and tenth and sixth supermarket launches in 2020 and bring the total number of Lenta stores to 250 hypermarkets in 88 cities across Russia and 138 supermarkets in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg and the Central region.
