Lenta opens a new supermarket in Moscow

St. Petersburg, Russia; 15 September 2020 – Lenta, (LSE, MOEX: LNTA) one of the largest retail chains in Russia, is pleased to announce the opening of its supermarket in Moscow.

The new store is Lenta supermarket located at 14 Leskova street. The store has a total area of 1,709 sq.m with 1,020 sq.m of selling space and is open from 08.00 am to 11 pm, 7 days a week. A broad assortment of products of 10,000 SKUs has been selected specifically for residents of Moscow. The store has 11 cash registers including 5 self check-outs. The property is leased by Lenta.

Product assortment of the supermarket includes Lenta’s private labels and federal product ranges alongside local produce.

Lenta undertook explicit measures to ensure safe environment for its customers and employees during the pandemic of coronavirus. All Lenta stores are equipped with sanitizing stations and protective screens at checkouts and own production areas to minimize health related risks. The personnel is provided with high quality respirators and gloves and goes through body temperature control procedure daily. All the equipment and premises are cleaned with disinfectants several times a day.

The new opening in Moscow is Lenta’s eights supermarket launch in 2020 and brings the total number of Lenta stores to 248 hypermarkets in 88 cities across Russia and 139 supermarkets in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Siberia, the Urals and the Central region.
